The Optometry Schools Council
- Is the principal source for informed opinion and advice on all matters concerning optometry education from the perspective of UK schools of optometry.
- Responds to consultations on matters that impact on optometry education, training and research.
- Provides a forum for optometric researchers and educators to discuss and exchange ideas
- Works to improve and maintain quality in optometry research, education, student experience and to prepare students for clinical practice.
-Works closely with the General Optical Council (GOC), College of Optometrists, the student body and other representative and professional groups in optometry on matters of shared interest.
